Refund Policy

Draft guidance about refund requests, eligibility, processing, and booking-specific supplier conditions.

Draft — legal review required

This policy is draft information, not an approved contract or legal advice. It is not ready for publication as a final policy. Travelar must confirm the applicable legal entity, markets, contact details, effective date, and jurisdiction-specific terms with qualified counsel before relying on or publishing it as final.

1. Which terms apply

Refund eligibility is determined by the confirmed booking terms, the relevant supplier's conditions, the reason for the request, and mandatory law. This general draft does not promise that every booking is refundable or replace the terms shown at checkout and in a confirmation.

2. Before requesting a refund

Review the booking confirmation for the cancellation deadline, applicable charges, non-refundable items, supplier requirements, and the process to submit a request. If a service is disrupted or changed, keep relevant notices and receipts.

3. How to request one

  1. Use the booking-management options provided for the booking, or the verified contact route once published.
  2. Provide the booking reference, the service affected, the reason for the request, and relevant supporting information.
  3. Wait for confirmation that the request has been received and for the decision or next steps.

4. Supplier review and timing

Some requests require supplier review or approval. Processing time can depend on the supplier, payment provider, bank, payment method, currency, and market. Any estimate is not a guarantee unless expressly stated for the particular request.

5. How approved refunds are returned

Where supported, an approved refund will generally be routed to the original payment method. A bank or provider may take additional time to display the funds. Travelar must not promise an outcome or timeline before the booking and provider rules have been checked.

6. Non-refundable and partially refundable bookings

A booking may be non-refundable, refundable only in part, or refundable subject to a fee or deadline. The applicable booking terms and mandatory consumer rights govern. Optional extras and separate supplier charges may have distinct conditions.

7. No confirmation, duplicate charge, or unresolved payment

A payment authorisation or debit does not by itself establish that a booking was confirmed. If payment appears successful but the booking is pending, check the status before paying again. For a suspected duplicate charge, retain the booking and transaction references and contact your payment provider if needed.

8. Current publication status

The final policy requires verified support channels, actual supplier workflows, approved market-specific rules, an effective date, and qualified legal review. This draft does not alter mandatory rights or the terms for an existing confirmed booking.
